Career explorers build dog houses to finish year

Career Exploration camps provided by Greene County ISU Extension and the Greene County Career Academy concluded for the school year with exploring construction careers. Students built a pair of dog houses with instructor Derrik Bauer and volunteers Larry and Paul Blake and Raymond Bauer.

At the Greene County Career Academy with Career Exploration students and instructors, PAWS volunteers Kelley McCain and Ann Wenthold, and Romeo and Jerry.

The dog houses, intended for large breed dogs, will be donated to PAWS for sale as a future fundraiser, with all proceeds remaining with PAWS to support their efforts on behalf of animal welfare.

PAWS board president Ann Wenthold and board member Kelley McCane took dogs Romeo and Jerry to meet the students and check out their work once the dog houses were completed.
